The I-Plunger

The I-Plunger allows producers to easily acquire downhole data that is critical in optimizing plunger lift and gas lift wells. Anomalies are pinpointed by using highly sensitive pressure and temperature transducers. An on board collar locator provides plunger location and velocity as it travels through the wellbore. Frequently diagnosed data sets include holes in the tubing, gas lift valve malfunction, short tripping plungers, wellbore stall points, worn and corroded tubing, fluid levels, and plunger fall/rise velocities.

This is an example of an ideal plunger run(not GAPL) on the GOTEK Plot Program. The red line indicates temperature, while the blue indicates pressure. Different stages of the plunger cycle(fall, build, and rise) are labeled. The vertical black lines are signals indicating collars.

I-Plunger data is easily downloaded and analyzed using a computer and the GOTEK Plot Program. Data can also be imported from and exported to .csv files.

Our new Modular I-Plunger comes with adaptors to turn the body into a solid, dart bypass, and ball and sleeve bypass plunger(2.375 and 2.875). We also carry a padded style in 2.375 tubing size. Ask about our current inventory for rental or purchase options.
